Pacific Northwest Sculptors Association member, Martin Kagan will have a month-long
display of his ceramic sculptured masks and busts starting March 1st in downtown
Corvallis. During the past five years, Kagan’s life-sized busts have migrated from self-
drying clay, fired bisque, and raku to 3D-printed infrastructure that are then layered with oil-
based clay. Coated with acrylic finishes and sometimes adorned with repurposed stands,
jewelry and fabric the figures further invite an imaginative approach to character studies. If you
are in the Corvallis area, be sure and view the 24-foot showcase window sponsored by Footwise
and located at the corner of SW Madison and 3 rd Street. For more information, contact Martin
at martinkaganusa@gmail.com.
