PNWS will have a presence at this mid-summer art festival for the first time. The 3-day event will be held in the city’s Ester Short Park across from the City Hall in downtown Vancouver. Last year there were over 30,000 attendees. We will occupy a 10′ x 20′ demonstration booth in a prominent area on Friday, August 2, Saturday August 3rd and Sunday, August 4. Additionally, we will be firing ceramic masks in a portable kiln right next to our sculpture booth as part of our educational outreach goals on Saturday and Sunday. Time slots are available for members to sign up to occupy the demo booth on all three days. click on this link to sign up for a demo spot. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LM9PfOZN9e4i9-CkmI0M5rY816Zn–d4zOes2aVT-44/edit?pli=1#heading=h.n9jzx347sidd
Scroll down the page to access the demo slots and type your name into the box. be sure to include contact info so we can inform you of any changes. All that is required is for you to bring any sculpture project you are working on and share with the public. There will also be display racks and tables for you to bring a sampling of your work. Education is an important piece of what we do and this is a great opportunity to inform the public about the processes we sculptors go through to produce our work. It is also a great chance for self-promotion, so come prepared with contact information for sales, classes, future events etc.
