James Lee Hansen (American, born 1925) is a living legend. The last of a breed of great 20th century modern artists. Along side Brancusi, Giacometti, Calder, and Nevelson, Hansen took all the known history of sculpture and through a rigorous process of mastery found an entirely unique vocabulary of dream and art, heroism and craft.
He is 100 years old this year and Pacific Northwest Sculptors has been invited to meet him and tour his warehouse-studio in Battle Ground, Washington. Will confirm the address and time for our tour/meeting, currently projected to be October 18th, at 3pm.
