Something Trapped Inside

My latest mixed media sculpture.  The metal ball has the feel of something both mysteriously ancient and paradoxically modern and industrial.  The cool darkness of the carved walnut base has a calming essence.  There is indeed something trapped inside.  Is it a lost soul?  Gold dust?  Fine Scotch whiskey?   Only the artist knows, and he ain’t telling.
