PNWS will visit the Jordan Schnitzer Collection March 20th at 3:30pm, followed by a sculptor’s rendezvous at Brujos Brewpub.
The Schnitzer Collection is at 3033 NW Yeon Avenue Portland, OR 97210 (big red arrow on map above) and Brojos is at 2377 NW Wilson St. Portland, OR 97217.
While at the Schnitzer Collection we’ll see several artworks in the permanent collection along with featured art by Hank Willis Thomas, who is best known for his recent public sculpture in Boston dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr.
Members of the Schnitzer family have been the greatest private supporters of art in Portland for decades and Jordan Schnitzer himself has led this philanthropy.
Worth mentioning: Don’t confuse the Jordan Schnitzer Collection (3033 NW Yeon Avenue), with the Schnitzer Museum of Art at PSU (1855 SW Broadway) These are two different places.
