October 18th potluck: Jenny Poston

The Pacific Northwest Sculptors October 18th, 3pm potluck will be at Jenny Poston’s studio, 4604 NE Irving St, Portland OR.

Jenny is a designer and mixed media artist, with a core interest in ceramics.

Jenny began with the study of architecture, learning about form and space, and continuing through industrial design, her attention shifted to process and fabrication, creating structures but not in a mechanical way.  Each piece embodies irregularity and warmth, and a deep desire to express and to be made directly by hand.

“My biggest challenge has been deciding whether to pursue art, craft, or design. I cannot separate them no matter how hard I try. So I do all three.” – JP
