A big event in the world of Pacific NW sculpture is almost here – the “Celebration of Sculpture.” Starting Friday, May 1, the show runs six weeks at the Vancouver Arts Hub, 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd.
The Hub will host a reception for the exhibit from 5 to 8 p.m. May 1. Guests can stroll through the 12,000 square foot exhibit space to view and buy sculptures by local artists.
Says Russell Ford, long-time Pacific NW Sculptors powerhouse, “We start at 5pm with arts educators talks followed by local sculptors, then a Flamenco dance performance, then wine tasting…all while taking in the largest exhibit of local sculpture in the West…no kidding!”
While not an official PNWS event, over 20 members are showing work and/or speaking at the reception on Friday or the First Friday event in June. It promises to be a rich display of talent from across the region.
