I am selling my wonderful Raku Kiln Kit. We used it once per year since I bought it in March 2023, and Jon has other hobbies so doesn’t want to do this anymore. (You need 2 people for safety.) It’s a very good deal for everything you get. (Have you priced galvanized cans lately?) Everything is here except the propane tank. We will deliver free to anywhere within Portland metro-area. Please share this listing with anyone you think may want to do Raku firings. This is an excellent clamshell-style kiln, it is about 2 feet square with additional height, so can take a large piece.

This Raku Kit is 95% complete. It just needs a propane tank. The kiln was built by Tammy Shumate’s husband when they lived in Rochester, WA. He built it in 2021. He built several and sold them for 2,400 each, without all the extras. This kiln has been used about 12 times. I paid $2,200 for it in 2023 and we have used it three times. I cannot use it alone, and my husband has too many other hobbies to help me with it anymore.
