Sculpture allows me to explore and illuminate compelling life impressions the way a child in the dark shines a light around his room to find reassuring shapes in the shadows. Insistent images wash over my mind in waves, like shells onto a beach. Some are fully formed while others catch light as polished fragments from the deep. Such forms and fragments inform my spirit and inspire my art. Like souvenir seashells, each sculpture is the artifact of a creative journey.
