Please mark you calendars for our upcoming monthly potluck meeting and studio tour.
Date: Saturday, March 21 Time: 3 pm
Location: The studio of Carole Murphy, 4495 SE Aldercrest Road, Milwaukee (moving to Northeast Portland in the next few months)
Carole Murphy is a respected Pacific Northwest sculptor and past president of PNWS. She is a mixed media artist whose work celebrates nature, using recycled objects, paper, clay, steel, wood and encaustics. And her pallet continues to grow! Her pieces reflect a deep sensitivity to anatomy, balance, and emotional presence. In addition to creating her own art, Carole has been teaching sculpture for the last 30 years.
Carole’s welcoming studio space provides an inspiring environment for creative exchange, experimentation, and dialogue among artists. Her 1600 ft.² studio is filled with all kinds of wonders, and next to it is a classroom complete with candy for visitors.
The afternoon will begin with a brief meeting to discuss upcoming exhibitions, workshops, and member news, followed by a potluck, studio tour, and informal dialogue.
Kindly bring:
A dish to share
Your own plate and serving utensils (if possible)
A friend or guest interested in PNWS
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow sculptors, exchange ideas, and enjoy the creative energy of our community.
Please note – parking at Carole’s studio is limited. You will need to park along Aldercrest Road.
