Using the Instagram Collab function allows you to co-author a post or Reel with another account, ensuring the content appears on both profiles and reaches all of your combined audiences. To create a collab post, simply invite a collaborator before publishing; they’ll receive a notification and must accept the invitation for the post to appear on their feed. Both accounts’ names are displayed at the top of the post, and all engagement—likes, comments, and shares—is shared between the collaborators, helping to boost visibility and foster connections.
What does this mean? When you are making a post for your IG feed that pertains to your art/sculpture/show, choose to collab with PNWSculptors for more coverage of your post. Follow these easy steps:
1. Create a post by clicking on the plus sign on the bottom of the screen.
2. Choose the photo you’d like to post from the photo stream by clicking on the photo
3. Add music or text (optional) and hit the blue button NEXT on the bottom on the screen
4. Click on the symbol on the right of the screen on the line “Tag people,” then hit the blue Share button
5. Click on “Invite collaborators”
6. Search for a person, or click on the suggestions that show up (in this case pnwsculptors is at the top of the list)
7. Click on DONE on next screen
8. Your post will now display in your feed. Once pnwsculptors accepts the collaboration request, the post will also show up in their feed. This is an easy way to get a post in 2 feeds (or more) and will increase the coverage of your post.
