Vancouver’s “Celebration of Sculpture”

All PNWS members are invited to participate in a unique opportunity to show your work in an  exhibit of local artists as Vancouver celebrates our passion.

This exhibit is intended to provide a variety of education-oriented events and will span a 6 week time frame that will include two First Friday events, May 1 (opening day) and June 5th. You will need to fill out the application form to participate.

The Hub (Aka theARTScentered) is located at 1007 E. MillPlain Blvd. In the old library. The building is being refurbished in stages but the available space for showing artwork is large (very) with a 12,000 Sq. Foot main room that is currently showing a magnificent Asian Art exhibition. You are welcome to bring as many pieces as you would like to show. There is ample space for wall hung pieces (your work must be ready to mount) as well as floor space for pedistal work and free-standing pieces. Ceiling height is 14′.
You must provide all labels and signage. Any sales will happen between you and the buyer through your interaction or through card, brochures or qr code info left at your “space”. The Hub will not take a commission.
The building is secure, there is only one entrance which is constantly monitored. In addition to the main floor space there is a gallery space that we will reserve for any special works you want to exhibit. One work per artist in the gallery.

Drop off will be from April 27, 28, and 29th from 10- 6.

Pick up June 19th & 20th 10-6.

As the focus of this exhibition is education, we invite you to consider how your presentation might include any educational props you might choose, such as photos of you in your studio, samples of the materials or tools you use etc. We also invite you to consider setting up a demo for folks to see behind the curtain what is involved in your craft.

We will be hosting an artist’s talk and an art educators talk on May 1st (opening day) from 5-7. The two First Friday events will have the biggest crowds so plan to attend if you are able.

Feel free to contact me Russ Ford at this address or Christine Richardson C Richardson at <christine@theartscentered.org>
With questions.
