We are participating in the Troutdale Art Festival this year!
Troutdale Arts Festival – June 8th and 9th 11 a.m.-7p.m.
This year, PNWS will be partnering with Mt. Hood Community College to do Raku demos. Masks will be prepared ahead of the event by MHCC students and PNWS members. On May 25th, PNWS members will create masks at the May member studio tour & potluck at Russ Ford’s studio in Vancouver, 610 E. 19th St.
Raku is fun to watch but more fun if you have a “dog in the fight”! Mask makers will have their pre-fired work available to glaze for firing at the event. Volunteer at the event and see your work transformed in the process. The firing will start both days the at 11 a.m. and shut down at 5. The festival goes till 7:00 so we will need folks to volunteer to be at the booth to answer questions all day but especially at the end of the day.

The Troutdale Arts Festival takes place on the Historic Columbia River Hwy! This festival has been a labor of love, fueled by a shared passion to bring the arts to the forefront. The festival, which began over 7 years ago as the Fall Festival of the Arts, has undergone remarkable transformations throughout its journey. In 2022 the Cascadia Arts Association was established to manage the festival, and the bold decision to switch to the spring season and rename it the Troutdale Arts Festival.
