September’s monthly meeting was hosted by the talented Rachael Allen. We were given a tour of her lovely studio and had some great art conversations related to Rachael’s creative methods.
Rachael’s artwork is expressed in form, texture, colors and materials that have been reclaimed; showing an imprint of history. She creates both human and animal forms and describes that a piece is finished when it vibrates with a sense of aliveness. Inspired by a love of whimsy! To see more of Rachael’s work, visit her website rachaelallenart.com or find her on IG @rachaelallenfineart . You can also see her work at the upcoming 2026 Portland Open Studios in October (Studio #49 on the map) www.portlandopenstudios.com. October 10–11 & 17–18, 10 am – 4 pm each day.
Rachael brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to our community! Thank you for hosting us, Rachael!
