Creativity, Connection, and Sharing Our Work
What comes to mind when you think about sharing your art?
For some artists, it feels natural and energizing. For others, it can feel vulnerable, uncomfortable, or even a little intimidating. Most of us have, at one point or another, wondered:
Is my work good enough?
Do I really have something worthwhile to say?
Who am I to ask others to pay attention to what I’ve made? These thoughts are more common than you might think.
Creating art is often a deeply personal act. It asks us to bring something from our imagination, experiences, and curiosity into the world. Along the way, many of us wrestle with questions about confidence, self-worth, visibility, and belonging. That’s part of being human—and part of being an artist.
Yet every artist has their own relationship with sharing their work.
Some approach promotion as simply another creative practice. They make something, put it out into the world, and invite others to experience it.
Others see themselves as caretakers of an idea, a story, or a vision that wants to be expressed. Sharing the work isn’t about self-promotion; it’s about giving that work the opportunity to connect with others.
And some have arrived at a place of confidence through years of creating, learning, and growing. They understand that what they make has value and that their voice deserves to be heard.
Wherever you fall on that spectrum, you belong here.
This community includes artists with different backgrounds, experiences, styles, goals, and comfort levels. Some are just beginning to share their work. Others have been exhibiting for decades. Some create professionally, while others create purely for the joy of it. Every perspective adds something meaningful to our collective conversation.
If you’ve been hesitant to post your work, consider this your invitation.
Share a work in progress. Post a recently completed piece. Tell us about an upcoming show, a creative breakthrough, a challenge you’re working through, or a project you’re excited about. You never know who might be inspired, encouraged, or helped by seeing what you’re creating.
And if you’re here as an art lover, collector, supporter, or fellow creative, please take a moment to engage. Ask a question. Leave a comment. Offer encouragement. Meaningful communities grow through conversation, and sometimes a few kind words can make all the difference.
Let’s make this a place where creativity is celebrated, curiosity is welcomed, and every artist feels comfortable sharing their voice.
We’d love to see what you’re creating.
May your creativity flourish, and may your art find the connections it is meant to make. 🎨✨
