2026 Gathering of the Guilds

Have you been thinking about a way that you can give back to a the PNWS? Boy do I have an opportunity for you! Planning for the 2026 Gathering of the Guilds is kicking off at the end of August with a show board meeting. PNWS has been invited to be part of the steering committee for the show.  We are currently looking for a member to step up and lead the planning and execution of the show.

Last year was a success as we took baby steps into the show. We elected to forgo activities like having a student booth because it was a learning year. Our organization is now well up on the learning curve which will make leading the show much easier and provide space to consider adding depth to our presentation at the show.

I was the show chair last year. I found it very interesting to see behind the curtain of a big event like this, and to work with many of the leaders in the Portland art community. It was especially rewarding to work closely with so many talented members in our organization and added some close relationships to my personal community.

Please consider stepping up and taking the chair person’s role. I have a busy year ahead of me and have elected to hand off the leadership role but still want to be part of the team.
